When the boyfriend suggested the idea of archery one rainy weekend it was like the thing I never knew I wanted, but now that I know it’s possible, I just had to try it.
I immediately thought “You mean, I could be Katniss Everdeen for a day minus all the death and suffering?”
Arrowland by Gandiva is a cozy place at the second floor of SM North. It’s like its own world. Once inside, you feel detached to the usually crowded mall.
Here’s a photo of the activities offered:
We took the 50-arrow deal for 2 people priced at P475 (that’s already for two!) Note that their rates are way cheaper during the weekday. As in mas sulit.
They also offer archery classes and gear if you are thinking of really getting serious about it.
But don’t worry if you have no experience or knowledge whatsoever, they have an instructor who will teach you the basics.
Was the 50-arrow package worth it? YES!
I also thought baka bitin for the two of us but by the end of it, our arm muscles felt extremely exercised. My arm ached after the experience, so maybe stretching before actually picking up that bow is a good idea.
I actually had a hard time pulling the bowstring up to my jaw the first try, so the instructor gave me a lighter one. I call it the baby bow.
Didn’t know I could have so much fun with an activity that required concentration and focus, but I did! Lots of laughter, too.
